Veedersburg - Samuel L. Craig, 70, an employe of the Veedersburg Brick Co. died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. He had been in failing health since last February. He was treated at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville and St. Elizabeth prior to his last illness. Born Oct. 19, 1889 in Fountain County, Mr. Craig was the son of Owen B. and Ada Drollinger Craig. He married Beulah Kiger in 1910. Mr. Craig was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church. Survivors include the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hershberger, Mrs. Thelma Gosnell and Mrs. Janice Booe, all of Veedersburg; two sons, Samuel L. Craig Jr., and Billy Joe Craig, also of Veedersburg; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Viola Grigson of Oakland, Calif., and three brothers, Roy Craig of Lansing, Mich., and Clifford and Edgar Craig, both of Veedersburg. The body was taken to the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Ralph Sell and Rev. Samuel Pritchard will be the officiating ministers. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
